I read the novel, The Other Boleyn Girl over the holidays and couldn't put it down. It is definitely a sudsy chick lit book wrapped up in the history and drama of King Henry VIII's court but well written and backed by historical research. As I am sure most of you know, a movie based on the book, adapted by the incredible Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon, The Queen, Last King of Scotland) is out at the end of this month and stars Natalie Portman and ScarJo in the lead roles. Although I was wary of the movie, reviews are coming back positive and I am looking forward to checking it out opening weekend.
